You'll find the Hutchinson Encyclopedia (1999), the New Penguin Dictionary of Quotations (1998), the compact Hutchinson Chronology of World History (1998), the Helicon Book of Days (1998), Hutchinson's Internet Dictionary (1998), the 1987 edition of Roget's Thesaurus, the 1994 revision of Eric Partridge's classic guide to English usage Usage and Abusage, and Longman's excellent Dictionary of the English Language, published in 1991, but brought at least partly up to date by the inclusion of the 1998 Hutchinson Dictionary of Computing, Multimedia and the Internet. This gives you the answers to pretty well any general reference questions you are likely to have.
